![]() Of course I am making this needlessly complicated as the 3 presets handle like 95% of use cases and you probably dont ever need to go in between lol. Also, I guess in theory, if you wanted a custom AR in between preset 1 and 2 for example, you check could send a command to go from preset 1 to preset 2 (or figure out which preset the custom AR is closest to and send command for that preset), then once it is done, send a command to move the mask up for X ms (I guess you would need to measure how much travel you have if the actuator moves for X ms so that you could calculate how long to run it on). It does look like the global cache device has an API that you can access and most applications like iRule support it out of the box since the developers took the time to interpret the API and implement it. ![]() I think in theory I could replace this with an ESP8266 wifi controller with 3 relays and some custom programming if I wanted to save some money since the global cache seems pricey at ~$134 (I understand the trade off is turnkey solution vs completely DIY which would require time to build and program). ![]() As for the global cache device, you wired each relay port to each keypad button so in theory you can send a signal to press Keypad 1 & 2 to remotely move the mask up right or if you send a signal to press keypad 1 and hold for 5 secs, it will set that as the new preset for position 1? It seems like the Global Cache device is a simple microcontroller running a webserver and has 3 electromechanical relays that you can address. Ok so if I am understanding correctly, you wired your 3 button push switch and Global Cache directly to the same wiring that the 3 button keypad uses that comes with the controller since this way allows you to maintain the ability to manually adjust the masking up or down or even reprogram the presets right? You did not use the optional 3 white/green/blue preset wire terminals which you can only use to trigger the presets and cannot use to reprogram or manually move the actuator. Where did you end up buying the aluminum bar, special drawers, the cnc wheels, wire, pinch clamps and turnbuckle? Is that available at big box stores like Home Depot?
